Anti Aging with 10 Easy Tips

Submitted by admin on Thursday, 5 November 2009No Comment

Many people look older than they are. Fine wrinkles, deep wrinkles or whatever the reason, follow these 10 easy tips to prevent skin aging.

1. Use sunscreen products

Aging skin and freckles are due to UV rays. As I mentioned in previous articles, regardless of the weather, UV rays exist all the time. So it’s important to be diligent in applying sunscreen. But seriously, who can be bothered to reapply once leaving the house. That’s why I don’t apply sunscreen lotion/cream. Sunscreen wipes are easy to apply and doesn’t leave the sticky mess as with other products.

There are ways to take care of your skin in a convenient fashion and the important point is that it will prevent your skin from aging.

2. Stop Smoking

Smoking blocks the respiration of cells and tightens the blood vessels and leads to slower blood circulation. It also prevents supplying of nutrition and elimination of impurities. In addition, smoking emits benzopyrene which destroys vitamin C.

Smoking is the shortcut to quick aging of your skin. Next time, look closely at anyone you know that smokes frequently, especially around the mouth.

3. Stress Management

Under stress, the moisturizing ability of your skin is weakened and easily becomes dry and exhausted. When angry or tired, pimples appear on your skin due to this reason. Managing stress with moderate exercise or hobby activities is not only good for your skin but also good for your mental health.

4. Eat Healthy Food

In order to maintain healthy skin, it is first better to consume healthy balanced food rather than eating anything you want and then applying expensive cosmetic products to hide it up.

Also, try to eat a moderate portion of balanced food regularly. 3 meals with 3-4 small snacks such as an apple or banana will surely improve your skin condition.

Consume enough fruits and vegetables including whole grains and vitamins.

5. Drink Tea

According to several studies, drinking green tea or other kinds of tea regularly slows down the aging process.

Tea contains antioxidants, but let’s first see what an oxidant is.

Oxidation is a normal process that takes place in the body. It causes damage to our cells, and it’s believed that this cumulative damage is what causes aging and eventually death. It happens as a result of regular metabolism, but is accelerated by pollution, excessive exposure to sunlight, alcohol and smoking.

So tea anti-oxidants prevents the damage caused to our cells.

Soak tea bags in hot water for at least 2-3 minutes before drinking it.

6. Facial Mask Sheets and Steamed Towels

Facial mask sheets and steamed towels both provide moisture to your skin and eliminate wastes in pores and keratin on your face.

Face mask sheets also provide rich nutrition that are essential for skin health.

7. Get a Humidifier

As seasons and temperatures change, your skin becomes dry. Dry skin will cause your skin to become even rougher and less elastic so fine lines and wrinkles can easily appear around your mouth and eyes.

This is where a humidifier will help with your dry skin as it provides the air with moisture which is what your skin will also feel.

8. Wear a Smile

Frowning is a big cause of wrinkles and why you look older than you should.

Think of someone you know that is always smiling, happy and jolly. Doesn’t that person look so much younger than they are?

When you frown, you are using a lot more face muscles for the negative facial expression than when you can simply smile.

A smile and laughter eases stress and increases endorphin. Increase in endorphin also helps to slow down the effects of aging.

9. Regular Exercise

Exercise regularly and your skin will look healthier and clearer because of the accelerated blood circulation and metabolism.

10. Functional Cosmetic Products

Anti-aging cosmetic products containing collagen can also be helpful in managing your skin.

If you have dry skin, pay more attention to to try and provide more moisture to your skin via facial mask sheets, steamed towels, moisturizing creams, drinking water and eye creams.

Green tea

Strong antioxidant flavonoid components contained in green tea facial masks are good for moisturizing, eliminating impurities, acne treatment and more.

Another way to do this is to simply put tea bags on your face. Green tea contains vitamin C and E and these components can make your skin clean and clear.

Soy

Soy contains vitamin E, which is effective in preventing the aging process. Soy is another antioxidant ingredient and is effective for eliminating active oxygen. Soy facial mask improves moisturizing ability of the skin and enhances dry skin to be smooth and moist.

Egg

Lecithin contained in eggs is quickly absorbed by the skin and can make your skin moist. It is good for skin elasticity, anti-aging skin and is also good for removing sebum or keratin.

Aloe

Aloe has moisturizing and restoring effects for skin care. It prevents dehydration of skin that causes wrinkles and rough skin texture. Aloe has both sterilizing action and metabolism accelerating action which is effective for improving skin health and preventing aging.
